Brief description of BAUN: Balikesir University is located in Balikesir province. Balıkesir city is located in the west of Turkiye, on the coast of the Aegean and Marmara seas. eThe history of Balıkesir University goes back to 1910 but BAUN was officially established in 1992. It has 4 higher education institute, 14 faculties, 2 applied schools, 12 vocational high schools and 27 research and practice centres. BAUN has 1178 academic staff and almost 35.000 students. The university has a veterinary faculty, faculty of science, biology departments and environmental engineering departments that conduct research on aquaculture/ fisheries, climate change and environmental sustainability. The university carries out many national and international projects in this field.

Odesa National University of Technology (ONUT) is one of the largest multidisciplinary public higher education and research institutions in Ukraine. It has the highest (4th) level of accreditation and consists of 4 institutes and 10 faculties, as follows: There are more than 10 000 B.Sc. and M.Sc. students, 104 Full Professors, and 406 Ph.D. degree holders. There are Cooperation Agreements with more than 60 foreign universities. ONUT is a Member of 9 international organizations. ONUT, as a partner organization, undertakes to organize the selection of staff and students to implement mobility and awarding grants in fair, transparent, consistent and documented forms. University of Dubrovnik
The University of Dubrovnik was founded in 2003. It is organised as an integrated university and consists of six departments and two institutes. The university offers BSc, MSc and PhD programmes in the fields of Economics and Business, Maritime Affairs, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Marine Ecology, Mariculture, Mass Media and Communication, Arts and Restoration, Humanities and Nursing. What distinguishes the University of Dubrovnik from other universities in the region is its strong international orientation, which is reflected in one of the highest proportions of international students in Croatia and neighbouring countries, as well as a high number of internationally funded research activities. The unique geographical location of the city of Dubrovnik and its historical and tourist reputation are further reasons for the international appeal of our programmes. University of Thessaly was founded in 1984 and is organized into 8 faculties, 37 departments and 71 postgraduate programmes. Today the University has about 36,622 undergraduate and 4,500 postgraduate students and doctoral candidates, staffed by 844 teaching and research staff members and 427 administrative staff members. The Department of Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment (http://diae.uth.gr/) promotes knowledge and trains young scientists capable of pursuing a scientific and professional career in the fields of Ichthyology, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Management of aquatic environment and marine product food technology. It hosts a five-year higher education training that awards a Bachelor’s degree with Integrated Master’s degree at level 7 of the National and European Qualifications Framework.

Vytautas Magnus University
Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), established in 1922 (re-established in 1989), is one of the most liberal and modern universities in Lithuania. Its well-deserved reputation is built on pursuing policies of liberal studies and establishing successful international relations with other universities all over the world. It is an open university where traditions and innovations meet and complement each other. There are 33 degree study programmes in English (17 BA, 16 MA) and over 500 courses delivered in English. 30 intensive foreign language courses. Their number varies by semester. VMU implements 14 double degree and 3 joint-degree study programmes with foreign partner universities. Every year about 250 VMU students and 300 employees participate in the Erasmus+ exchange programme. The university welcomes over 1800 incoming students from abroad annually.
