E-learning platform

This e-learning platform provides training materials developed to enhance the knowledge of higher education students, lecturers, and aquaculture professionals on climate change challenges and solutions in modern aquaculture.

Access is available to registered participants via the Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) SharePoint environment. 

The training material consists of six thematic modules, covering both theoretical and practical aspects: 

 

1.   Effects of Global Warming on Water Quality and Impact on Aquaculture

2.   Environmental Impacts of Aquaculture from a Global Warming Perspective

3.   Global Warming and Breeding, Biotechnology in Aquaculture

4.   Changes in Feed and Feeding Practices in Aquaculture Due to Global Warming

5. Effects of Global Warming on Diseases in Aquaculture and Protective Applications

6.   Selection of Systems for Aquaculture under Global Warming

Each module includes the following components:

• Module description (Syllabus) – a concise introduction to the topic, learning objectives, and structure.
• Core textual material – comprehensive theoretical explanations based on the latest scientific sources.
• Slides – a visual summary of the main topics.
• Case study – a practical example illustrated with visual materials.
• Assessment questions – tests and self-assessment exercises.
